Say Hello to Allo. Google finally launches Allo, a text messaging app that allows you do even more than texting (Yes, i'm looking at you whatsapp). Allo is designed to give you a rich experience without taking the much needed fun out of texting. Allo was initially announced during the 2016 Google I/O conference alongside video messaging app, Duo. Both apps are designed to work together to give you an awesome experience while chatting. Although the app has started courting controversial comments no thanks to the thin privacy options, the reviews from users has been generally positive and for the first time, we can say we have a real competitor for Whatsapp.
So, what's really the buzz about this text messaging app? Let's get started!

What Is Google Allo

Google Allo is a smart messaging app that allows you say more and do more than just chat. Allo allows you express yourself using stickers, doodles and huge emojis and texts. It also comes with a preview edition of Google Assistant (Siri killer)

=> Smart Reply: This feature allows you to keep the conversation flowing by suggesting text and emoji responses based on your personality. For example if you are a person who types "haha" or "lol" frequently, Google Allo automatically gives you the suggestion at a single tap so you don't have to type every reply.

=> Shout or Whisper your text: Sometimes putting your reply in ALL CAPS just doesn't still get your point accross. Google Allo allows you express your feelings adequately by sliding up to shout or sliding down to whisper.

=> Stickers: Stickers work just like Stickers. Don't know how to put that reply in words? Just use a Sticker to express yourself. The stickers are designed by independent artist and studios around the world. I just hope the stickers get as good as what we currently have on BBM.

=> Incognito Chat: Incognito chat allows you send messages via end to end encryption. It also comes with expiring chats that allow you control how long you want your messages to stick around and private notifications to keep your chats discreet.

=> Google assistant: This is by far the biggest feature of Allo. Get help from Google directly in your chats just by adding "@google". Find videos to share, get directions, and seek answers directly within your chats. You can also chat separately with the google assistant. You can get the latest scores of a match, your flight reservation, reminders just by asking. The more you use Google Assistant, the more useful it gets.

=> Enter Your Phone number
=> Add photo and username

Allo works just exactly like Whatsapp and adds users via contacts on your phone. An optional google account can be added to get the best out of Google Assistant. I am already enjoying my chats with the assistant. It is a very useful feature.
