Nigeria's smartphone network, Airtel, recently introduced new time based data plan that works with all devices. Time based plans allow you to browse unlimitedly for a specific period of time for a particular amount of money. This is similar to MTN's own timed plan, although data throttling starts after 150Mb.
The plans are:
5mins for N15
10mins for N30
30mins for N90
60mins for N180

The prices seems quite affordable but given the track record of Airtel, there might be some hidden data cap or something similar. Nonetheless this is a good initiative by Airtel, we wait for Etisalat and GLO to introduce their own time based data plan, so the competition can bring in lower prices for we the consumers.
